Public Allies partners with nonprofit organizations and university centers to operate our local programs. We are in the midst of an exciting time of growth.

As a national organization that develops leaders in their home communities, our partnership with local operating organizations plays an important role in helping us develop new leadership for new times. These operating partnerships are typically initiated with well-established nonprofit organizations or university centers that have missions complementary to ours, in addition to effective management, strong organizational capacity, and a culture that’s supportive of our unique leadership approach.

A 1+1=3 relationship. We pursue partnerships that enhance the operating partner’s programs and services while helping Public Allies grow in new and innovative ways. Because our program requires the investment of many local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, we are especially focused on growing into major metro areas. While Public Allies has served smaller towns and rural communities, we have found that these programs work best when tied to a metropolitan hub that can leverage more placements, trainers and supporters for our Allies.
