Turning the Tide Fellowship Program

Turning The Tide is a two year fellowship for promising young talent to explore careers in the human services field. Fellows work full time in front-line human services, and benefit from 2 hours per week of leadership development and professional networking.  These activities include our virtual leadership development seminar, monthly meetings with local emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector, and opportunities to connect with the sector-at large through participation in events like the Alliance for Children and Families’ National Conference.

Fellows will gain experience in front line human service jobs, while receiving leadership development, coaching, access to professional networks, certification, and other career benefits. Fellows will also receive a $4,725 educational award for each year of the program, as well as loan deferment and interest forgiveness.

Turning the Tide is a joint enterprise between Public Allies and the Alliance for Children and Families, and funded in part through AmeriCorps.
