Board Officers

Bill Graustein (Chair), lead trustee of the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund in Hamden, CT. A former Geophysics Researcher at Yale University, he is a leader in promoting collaborative values-based civic leadership in Connecticut and across the country. (Bill joined the board in 1998).

David Benjamin (Treasurer), Managing Director, Exedient LLC. He is an independent consultant who previously worked at McKinsey & Company, Ernst and Young, and built his own firm, Charter Consulting, which he sold in 2006 to Technology Solutions Company (NASDQ).

Melia Dicker (Secretary), Communications Director, The Institute for Democratic Education in America (IDEA). A 2004 graduate of Public Allies Silicon Valley, she founded Spark, a nonprofit organization that develops hands-on, self-directed learning opportunities youth in the Bay Area through apprenticeships with local businesses.
