Bill Graustein (Chair), is lead trustee of the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund in Hamden, CT. A former Geophysics Researcher at Yale University, he is a leader in promoting collaborative values-based civic leadership in Connecticut and across the country. (Bill joined the board in 1998). David Benjamin (Treasurer), is an independent consultant who previously worked at McKinsey & Company, Ernst and Young, and built his own firm, Charter Melia Dicker (Secretary), is a 2004 graduate of Public Allies Silicon Valley, who founded Resonate, a nonprofit organization that develops hands-on, self-directed learning opportunities youth in the Bay Area through apprenticeships with local businesses. (2005) Leif Elsmo, is a 1995 graduate of Public Allies Milwaukee and former Program Director of Public Allies Chicago who is the Director of Community and External Affairs for the University of Chicago Medical Center. (2001) Cynthia Gibson, PhD, is a former Program Officer at the Carnegie Corporation for New York, where she oversaw funds to promote youth civic engagement and strengthen the nonprofit sector, Cindy is currently an independent consultant to several national nonprofits and foundations. (2005) Elizabeth Hollander, is the Senior Service Fellow at Tufts University’s Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service, a position she assumed after a decade leading Campus Compact, a coalition of university presidents who support the civic role of higher education. (2007) Richard Murphy, is the CEO of Youthline America and previously was founder of what is now Harlem Children’s Zone, Commissioner of New York City’s Dept of Youth Services under Mayor Dinkins, and Director of the Center for Youth Development and Policy Research in DC. (1999) Audrey Rowe, is an independent consultant who formerly served as Senior Vice President of Lockheed Martin, COO of the National Urban League, Commissioner of Social Services for the State of Connecticut, and other leadership positions in all sectors. (2005) Jason Scott, is Client Portfolio Manager for Generation Investment Management, a long-term global equities fund created by Al Gore and former Goldman Sachs Asset Management CEO David Blood. Jason was the founding Executive Director of PA North Carolina. (2000) Kanwar Singh, is a Senior Vice President with UBS Financial Services in Chicago, and a former executive with a venture capital firm and a former partner with Baker & McKenzie. He is also the chair of Public Allies Chicago’s Advisory Board. (2004) Jaime Uzeta, is a partner and manages the San Francisco office of BBMG, a branding and integrated marketing firm that helps brands connect to socially conscious consumers. Formerly, Jaime was the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Public Affairs at MTV Music Television. (2002) |
